Climate Action Plan 2026–2030

Reducing emissions in last-mile delivery through practical, measurable action.

OUR COMMITMENT

Last-mile delivery is a fast-growing sector, driven by increasing demand for online shopping and rapid fulfilment. This growth comes with a clear environmental cost. High vehicle miles and fuel use mean the sector has a material and growing carbon impact.

At Velox Logistics, we operate directly within this system. Our core activity, delivering parcels, depends on the very dynamics that are driving these emissions. We recognise that this creates a responsibility to act.

So rather than stepping back from this challenge, we are choosing to address it. We support the global ambition to limit warming to 1.5°C and are committed to reducing emissions across our operations and areas we can influence.

We know this will not be straightforward. There are real constraints in last-mile delivery, including vehicle availability, charging infrastructure, and the structure of delivery networks. But we believe progress is both necessary and possible.

1. UNDERSTANDING WHERE OUR EMISSIONS COME FROM

To reduce emissions, we first need a clear and credible understanding of where they come from. For Velox Logistics, this is expected to be driven primarily by fleet fuel use, alongside emissions across our wider value chain.

2030 GOAL

We have a complete understanding of our Scope 1, 2 and relevant Scope 3 emissions, with progress tracked annually.

2026–2027 KPIs

• Begin emissions data collection for Scope 1 and 2 in 2026
• Establish a verified carbon baseline by 2027 with a carbon reporting partner
• Identify the most relevant Scope 3 categories and begin working towards
measurement.

2. TRANSITION TO A LOWER-EMISSION FLEET

Fleet emissions are the most significant part of our impact. Reducing these is essential to lowering our overall footprint.
2030 GOAL
Our fleet transitions to 100% electric vehicles, where operationally and contractually feasible.
2026–2027 KPIs
• Achieve at least 30% electric vehicles by the end of 2026
• Align vehicle transition with lease cycles and operational requirements

3. IMPROVE FUEL EFFICIENCY ACROSS THE FLEET

While fleet transition will take time, we can reduce emissions immediately through more efficient driving and better fuel management.
2030 GOAL
Drivers are consistently operating in a way that reduces fuel use, emissions, and vehicle wear.
2026–2027 KPIs
• Provide eco-driving training or guidance to all drivers by the end of 2026
• Track fuel consumption per vehicle and review annually
• Implement at least one practical efficiency improvement

4. EMBED EMISSIONS INTO VEHICLE DECISION-MAKING

Vehicle procurement and disposal decisions have a long-term impact on emissions and resource use.
2030 GOAL
Vehicle decisions consistently support lower-emission transport and responsible end-of-life management.
2026–2027 KPIs
• Introduce a vehicle procurement checklist including emissions criteria
• Implement a process for responsible vehicle disposal and secure data handling

5. REDUCE WASTE AND RESOURCE USE

Although our operational footprint is relatively light, we will take a consistent approach to reducing waste and improving resource use.
2030 GOAL
Operational waste is minimised, and opportunities to influence resource use are understood and acted on where possible.
2026–2027 KPIs
• Identify key operational waste streams and implement a simple approach to reduction
• Maintain recycling within our operational setup
• Review where we have any influence over packaging and identify opportunities

TRACKING PROGRESS

We will track and review emissions and progress on at least an annual basis, monitor performance against our targets, and update this plan as our data and approach develop.

LOOKING AHEAD

We know that reducing emissions in last-mile delivery is complex. There are real constraints, from infrastructure to the structure of delivery networks.
But by focusing on what we can control and acting where we have influence, Velox Logistics is committed to making steady, measurable progress towards a lower-carbon way of operating.
